FAQs on Self-Paced Courses
Here you can find answers to some of the frequently-asked questions on Self-Paced courses. Please submit a ticket if you have more specific questions that are not listed here.
- What is my course completion date?
Completion dates are located in the GRADES tab. Your specific date will be a COMMENT under the ungraded assignment titled, Course Completion Date.
- When will I receive a grade on my lesson?
Faculty will typically grade lessons within 1-2 weeks. If you have not heard from your instructor after a few weeks, you can send them a message in Canvas.
- I emailed my instructor, but I haven’t heard back from them.
If it has been a few weeks since you last heard from your instructor, you can forward your question to firstname.lastname@example.org and let them know you are still waiting to hear back from your instructor. A staff person will assist you in getting a response.
- How do I view my final grade?
Final grades are issues 1-2 weeks after you have completed all course requirements. You can view your grade online at MyCentral.
- My course expired and I can’t access my course, but I still want to finish. How can I do this?
You should email an Extension Request form ASAP to email@example.com. Faculty and staff will look at your performance in the course and email a final decision to deny or grant an extension. If you have been granted an extension, you will be notified via email when you have access to Canvas again.
